Neighboring Communities
In addition to the DVC’s work at Ryan Camp and with the Borax Twenty Mule Team® of Death Valley Wagons, DVC’s broader mission is to support Death Valley National Park and the surrounding communities.
Having good connections with the community is essential to the conservancy’s stewardship work. From helping fund preservation efforts and museum work by other groups, to hosting oral histories with Timbisha Shoshone elders, to organizing gatherings that bring together nonprofits, government agencies, and neighbors in the nearby valleys, DVC seeks to make deep, long-term connections and contributions to the area.
