We have been restoring/rebuilding the the stairs and veranda on the north side of Bunkhouse 1. Our goal was to rebuild these stairs as close to original as possible (photo above), while making safety related structural upgrades. This has been quite an undertaking from so many angles: Design, engineering, material sourcing, and construction. We are happy with and proud of how the project turned out! The final carpentry photo is below, before it received its final coat of paint.
